Black & Pink Evening Bodice

Description

Black silk faille evening bodice with pink silk scalloped and pinked trim.

The fitted bodice has wide boat neckline that adjusts with a drawstring and which may have been worn off the shoulder.

Short, ruched sleeves, and a hem cut into two deep points at side fronts and side backs are trimmed with a self-ruffle along the bottom edge.

The bodice fastens in the center back with lacing threaded through hand-whipped eyelet holes. The bodice is lined with brown polished cotton and stiffened with 5 bones.

A layer of stiff fabric is positioned around each armscye either as dress shields or to fill out hollows around the bust.

Dimensions

CBL to waist 7″
CBL to waist: 7″

Comments

One bone at center back is missing and there are indications of a strip of missing trim of some kind around neckline. Dress shields or infill are very brittle.
